Remembering A Kennedy
the funeral train passes by
carrying his body
in a flag draped
coffin
long lines of mourners
lined up along the tracks
weaving and weeping
nuns with hands gripping
the cross of Jesus
worn between their breasts
sparks fly from heated rails
clickity-clack
clickity-clack
sings its sad song along the
railroad track
a lone mourner standing
at the back of the caboose
clickity-clack
clickuty-clack
sings the sad song along the
railroad track
